If you don’t have the time or the money to go all out with your decorations this year,but you still want to have some sort of festive cheer around your space then this holiday wreath is perfect for you. It’s quick, easy and cheap to make!
You will need:
– a cardboard box/a piece of cardboard big enough for you to cut your wreath form out of OR a wreath form
– tinsel garland or whatever garland you want
– box cutter/scissors
– ribbon
– string
– a thumbtack
– glue gun + glue sticks
– various ornaments/embellishments
Step 1
Start by making a knot on your piece of string and attach the thumbtack through the knot to make a compass. Trace a cirlce on the cardboard as big as you want your wreath to be. Do the same for the inner circle of the wreath or you could use a plate or other round object to trace around.
Step 2
Cut out the two circles you just traced from the cardboard. You’re left with donut shape, this is your wreath form.
Step 3
Lay out the garland on the form and decide on how you’d like to glue it. Once you’ve decide it’s time to start gluing!
Step 4
Glue the garland around your form with your glue gun
Step 5
Arrange your embellishments however you please!
Step 6
Cut a piece of ribbon and glue on the back of the wreath so you can hang it up
Step 7
That’s it! You’re done! Enjoy your new holiday wreath! 🙂
