Another organizational tutorial this week and this time I tackled my (kind of massive) tea collection. I made these pretty chalkboard jars to help me organize!
For this project you will need:
- Jars
- Chalkboard paint
- Foam brush
- Chalk
- Rubbing alcohol
- Paper towel
1. Stir the paint well.
2. Remove the lids from the jars and using a nail file or sandpaper rough up the tops to give the surface more grip for the paint to stick to.
3. Clean the tops with some rubbing alcohol and a paper towel.
4. Apply a thin layer of paint on the jar tops. Let dry thoroughly for at least 24 hours or according to paint instructions.
5. Once the paint is dry and before using, season the tops with some chalk. Clean with a dry cloth and label.
I’m so happy with the way these turned out! My tea collection is looking very pretty and organized.
See you soon!
